

Own and maintain all Cell and assembly drawings.Lead design of scalable/manufacturable battery cells through a stage-gate approach of conception, feasibility (prototype assembly), and verification/validation testing, and technology handoff.Serve as the functional lead for the Cell Team, managing engineers and associates working on cell design and process development.He or she must hold a Bachelor of Science or a more advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate is hard-working, team-work oriented, innovative, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, and great people skills. Moreover, it requires collaborative work with the Product Engineering team to enable downstream integration of battery cells into pack assembly and the final product. It necessitates close coordination with Operations counterparts to apply DFM principles for production verification. The position is part of a diverse Technology team that owns Natron's core competencies.


The projects span refinements of Natron's current designs, as well as future offerings in company product roadmap. The candidate will lead projects and team members using stage-gate focused approaches including feasibility, proof-of-concept prototyping, design validation testing, and technology transfer for high-volume manufacturing. Natron seeks an accomplished hands-on engineering leader with a minimum of 10 years of industrial experience related to battery cells.
